Yoga

Yoga is a great way to improve your mind, body, and soul connection.  Learning to reconnect with your body while practicing yoga from a place of curiosity and neutrality can help you to cultivate compassion for yourself and improve your body image through embodiment.  Practicing yoga has been shown to promote physical and emotional body health, specifically helping to maintain bone mass and reduce anxiety and depression.

Each class begins with centering and grounding, includes breathing techniques, mindfulness, gentle movements to promote bone, spine, muscle, gut, and physical body health, and ends with relaxation and meditation.

Yoga is for every body!  There is no being good or bad at yoga and you do not need to be flexible to do yoga.  Practicing non-judgmentally and avoiding comparing yourself to others are helpful practices when reconnecting with your body.  Instead, focus on how it feels to build a stronger connection to your body and its’ function verses how it looks.
And of course have FUN!

All levels and all bodies welcome.  Yoga is offered virtually in group and individual settings.
